"Adjacent to JR Yufuin Station is the 'Yufuin Tourist Information Center - YUFUiNFO.' Designed by architect Shigeru Ban, who also designed the prefectural art museum, the building features full-length glass walls, offering a magnificent view of Mount Yufu. The beams and columns are gracefully curved, creating a space reminiscent of being in a forest.

In addition to providing local tourist information for Yufu City, the center disseminates tourism information for Oita Prefecture. It also houses a library with books related to travel and an observation deck, making it a relaxing place to visit.

The facility's nickname, 'YUFUiNFO,' combines 'Yufu,' 'Yufuin,' and 'Info.' Inside the building, 'Yufuin Chikki' offers convenient services such as 'Station Front Luggage Delivery Service' (limited to Yufuin Onsen Tourism Association member accommodation facilities), which transports luggage between the station and accommodation facilities. They also provide services like 'Temporary Luggage Storage' and the rental of 'Baby Strollers' and 'Wheelchairs.'
