  • When riding on footpaths where cyclists are allowed, continue slowly on the side closest to the road, and do not get in the way of pedestrians.
  • Be assertive about using hand signals to show other vehicles when you are going to stop or change lanes.
  • Do not overestimate your own endurance, and take frequent breaks. Rest at a Cycle Friendly spot whenever you feel tired.
  • Riding at night increases the risk of accidents and other potentially dangerous trouble, so plan your cycling course accordingly. If you must cycle at night, always use a light.
